In this blogger interview we will talk to one of the top bloggers from North East India, Himangshu Kalita. He is one of the Top Assamese Bloggers in India who has achieved quite a bit of milestones in the blogging arena. Without making more of a delay, let’s here it from Himangshu.
Q. 1. Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello readers! It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you.
I’m Himangshu Kalita, the founder of Spotblogging.com, JonakAxom.in, and two other blogs. I come from the northeastern state of India named Assam. I grew up in a quaint rural village in the Nalbari District. My upbringing was simple, shaped by the values my parents instilled in me. My father was a dedicated teacher, while my mother cared for our home as a devoted housewife.
I attended Sankardev Sishu Niketon for my schooling and later pursued my college education at Tihu College. Following that, I completed my post-graduation from the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya.
My journey into the world of blogging began with a passion for sharing insights, stories, and experiences that resonate with people from diverse backgrounds. I started blogging in 2017, with JonakAxom being my first blog. After a few years, I created another blog, Spotblogging.com, where I teach people how to create blogs and earn passive income through them.
In addition to my passion for technology and blogging, I have a deep love for travel and visual storytelling. I find immense joy in exploring new destinations, immersing myself in different cultures, and capturing those experiences through my lens. One of my favorite ways to document my travels is by creating Instagram travel reels, where I can share the beauty and wonder of each destination with my followers.
I have a keen interest in video editing, finding it to be both a creative outlet and a means of bringing my travel experiences to life in a dynamic and engaging way. With my skills in video editing and my passion for travel, I am now setting my sights on creating a successful YouTube channel that complements my blogs.
Q. 2. What was your inspiration to start your blogs/websites Spotblogging.com & JonakAxom.in?
The inspiration behind starting Spotblogging.com and JonakAxom.in stemmed from my lifelong passion for technology. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by all things tech-related. When I got my hands on my first Android mobile device around 2014, I seized the opportunity to channel that passion into something tangible. That’s when I created my first blog on Blogger.com. It was a way for me to explore and share my thoughts, experiences, and discoveries in the ever-evolving world of technology.
However, my first blog did not succeed, and I took a break from blogging during that time. After some years, I decided to take it seriously and recreate another blog. This step ignited a spark within me, leading me to establish Spotblogging.com and JonakAxom.in, platforms where I could delve deeper into my tech interests and connect with like-minded individuals who share the same enthusiasm for innovation and digital exploration.
Q. 3. Please describe/introduce your blog / websites to our new readers.
Spotblogging.com and JonakAxom.in are dynamic platforms designed to captivate and engage readers with diverse interests.

Q. 4. What is the most loved blog(s) till date for you on your blog? Why?
Among the most of blogs on my platforms, the ones that resonate the most are those that delve deep into untold stories or provide practical insights that positively impact readers’ lives. One such blog that stands out is 10+ Best Picnic Place in Assam, which serves as a comprehensive guide for both locals and tourists seeking to explore the hidden gems of Assam’s countryside. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat amidst lush forests or a fun-filled day by the riverbanks, there’s something for everyone in this curated list of picnic places.
Q. 5. What other blogs do you follow and why?
I gravitate towards blogs that offer fresh insights, ignite creativity, and stimulate meaningful conversations. Among my favorites are Neil Patel’s blog, Backlinko, and ShoutMeLoud. Neil Patel’s blog provides invaluable insights into digital marketing strategies and entrepreneurship, while Backlinko offers in-depth SEO tips and techniques that help me stay updated in the ever-evolving world of online visibility. ShoutMeLoud, on the other hand, covers a wide range of topics related to blogging, online business, and self-improvement, providing practical advice and inspiration for aspiring bloggers and entrepreneurs like myself. Overall, these blogs not only inform and educate but also inspire me to continually learn and grow in my journey.
Q. 6. What do you think is the best and challenging aspects about being a blogger/writer?
Being a blogger or writer offers a remarkable opportunity to forge connections with a diverse array of individuals and effect positive change through the power of words. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that your thoughts and ideas resonate with people from various backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. Whether it’s sharing personal experiences, offering advice, or sparking thought-provoking discussions, the ability to communicate and connect with an audience is truly rewarding.
However, alongside this gratifying aspect, come a set of challenges that every blogger or writer must navigate. One such challenge is the need for consistency. In a world where content is king, maintaining a regular publishing schedule can be daunting. It requires discipline, creativity, and sometimes even pushing through moments of writer’s block to ensure that your audience stays engaged and connected.
Another challenge is staying updated with trends and developments in your niche. The digital world is constantly evolving, with new platforms, technologies, and strategies emerging regularly. To stay relevant and competitive, bloggers and writers must invest time and effort into staying informed, learning new skills, and adapting to changes in the industry.
Also, navigating the complexities of the digital world, including algorithms, SEO, and social media dynamics, can be overwhelming. It requires a strategic approach to content creation, promotion, and engagement to effectively reach and connect with your target audience amidst the vast sea of online content.
Despite these challenges, the opportunity to share your voice, inspire others, and contribute to meaningful conversations makes the journey of being a blogger or writer incredibly rewarding and worthwhile. It’s a journey filled with learning, growth, and the fulfillment of making a positive impact through the art of storytelling.
Q. 7. How would you describe your blogging/writing style?
My approach to blogging and writing is characterized by authenticity, engagement, and informativeness. I believe in the power of genuine storytelling to connect with readers on a deeper level, fostering a sense of authenticity and relatability in every piece I create. By infusing my writing with personal anecdotes, experiences, and perspectives, I aim to create a bond with my audience, inviting them into my world and sparking meaningful conversations.
At the same time, I recognize the importance of factual accuracy and strive to deliver well-researched and informative content. I understand that readers value reliable information and insights that they can trust, so I make it a priority to verify sources, double-check facts, and present information in a clear and concise manner.
In my quest for excellence, I sometimes turn to AI tools to aid me in the writing process. These tools help me refine my grammar, polish my prose, and generate ideas for blog topics. While I embrace technology as a valuable resource in enhancing my writing, I also ensure that my authentic voice and unique perspective shine through in every piece I produce.
Overall, my blogging and writing style is a blend of personal authenticity, engaging storytelling, and factual accuracy. It’s a balance that allows me to connect with readers on a personal level while delivering valuable insights and information that resonate with them.
Q. 8. What do you think blogging will look like in next 5 years? Will it still be around?
In the coming five years, the landscape of blogging is poised to undergo significant evolution, driven by emerging technologies and changing consumer behaviors. As new platforms, tools, and trends emerge, bloggers will need to adapt and innovate to stay relevant in an increasingly competitive environment. However, amidst this evolution, one thing remains constant: the value of authentic voices and quality content.
While the rise of AI in content creation may revolutionize the way blogs are produced and consumed, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact year when AI will fully integrate into the blogging sphere. However, it’s undeniable that AI technologies are already making significant strides in automating tasks such as grammar correction, topic generation, and even content creation itself. This shift has the potential to disrupt traditional blogging practices and open up new possibilities for creators.
As Darwin famously said, “adapt or die.” In the face of technological advancements and changing market dynamics, bloggers must be willing to adapt their strategies, embrace new tools and technologies, and continuously innovate to stay ahead of the curve. Those who can harness the power of AI while maintaining their authenticity and commitment to quality content will likely thrive in this ever-evolving digital landscape.
Ultimately, while the future of blogging may be uncertain, one thing remains clear: the importance of staying agile, adaptable, and true to one’s voice and vision. By embracing change and leveraging technology to enhance their craft, bloggers can continue to connect with audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and make a lasting impact in the digital realm.
Q. 9. Which part of blogging excites you the most & why – research piece, post writing or photography?
The aspect of blogging that excites me the most is the research phase. Delving into new topics, uncovering fascinating insights, and connecting disparate pieces of information to craft compelling narratives is incredibly rewarding and fuels my passion for storytelling.
Q. 10. What is the biggest surprise that you have ever experienced after becoming a blogger/writer? One of the most astonishing aspects of my journey as a blogger and writer has been the profound effect my words can have on people around the world. It’s truly surprising and humbling to receive heartfelt messages from readers who have been inspired, educated, or touched by my work. Witnessing the impact of my writing on individuals across the globe is a deeply gratifying experience that reminds me of the power and reach of storytelling.
I’m excited to share my blog analytics with you, showcasing the level of engagement my content has garnered. These analytics provide insight into the reach, interaction, and response generated by my writing. They serve as a testament to the connections forged through my words and the meaningful conversations sparked by my blog.
As I continue on this journey as a blogger and writer, I am continually inspired by the connections formed and the impact made through my writing. It reinforces my commitment to creating content that resonates, inspires, and enriches the lives of others, wherever they may be in the world.
Q. 11. What has been the toughest criticism and best compliment given to you as a blogger/writer?
The toughest criticism I’ve faced as a blogger/writer often revolves around subjective opinions or differing perspectives on certain topics. However, constructive feedback has helped me refine my craft and grow as a storyteller. On the flip side, the best compliment I’ve received is when readers express how my writing has resonated with them on a deeply personal level, sparking introspection or positive change.
Q. 12. Please share some words of wisdom or tips for the aspiring bloggers/writers.
For aspiring bloggers and writers, I offer these words of wisdom gleaned from my own journey: Stay steadfast in your authenticity and let your unique voice shine through in every piece you create. Authenticity is what sets you apart in a sea of content, drawing readers to connect with your genuine perspective and experiences.
Never underestimate the power of storytelling. Stories have the remarkable ability to captivate, inspire, and resonate with audiences on a profound level. Embrace the art of storytelling in your writing, weaving narratives that evoke emotion, spark curiosity, and leave a lasting impact on your readers.
Consistency and perseverance are key virtues in the world of blogging and writing. Establish a regular posting schedule and commit to it wholeheartedly. Through dedication and persistence, you’ll build momentum, grow your audience, and establish yourself as a trusted voice in your niche.
